Clos du Marquis 雄狮庄园-侯爵堡，位于 Saint-Julien 圣朱里安产区，与超二级庄 Chateau Leoville Las Cases 雄狮酒庄、 中级庄 Chateau Potensac、波美侯 Chateau Nenin 同门，时任 Leoville-Las-Cases 雄狮酒庄经理的 Theophile Skawinski 收购了雄狮的部分股权，并在之后将股权转让给了女婿 Andre Delon，随后，实力雄厚的 Delon 家族不断收购雄狮的股权，成为了酒庄唯一的所有者。为了突显不同地块风土的差异性，1902年，雄狮将旗下 Clos du Marquis 的果实单独酿酒，使其成为一个独立的葡萄酒品牌。
葡萄园源自与 Chateau de Leoville-Marquis de Las Cases 宅邸毗邻的 Petit Clos 小园，其优质风土同样属于 Saint-Julien 圣朱里安产区，风土的位置更靠西，周围坐落着很多著名的列级名庄，特别是 Saint-Julien 和 Pauillac 的二级名庄，Léoville Poyferré 波菲庄园、Léoville Barton 巴顿酒庄、Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande 碧尚女爵，距离 Leoville-Las-Cases 雄狮庄园以西500米处，但并不属 Leoville-Las-Cases 风土范围内，自推出以来一直有被追崇为 Leoville-Las-Cases 的副牌，直至2007年开始雄狮庄园推出了新的副牌酒 Le Petit Lion du Marquis de Las Cases，原先的 Clos du Marguis 成为一款独立的葡萄酒，由此可见其品质极高，完美展现了 Saint-Julien 产区的典型性：结构、繁复、和谐、不凡，还有陈年能力。

"As I have indicated numerous times in this journal, the second wine of Las Cases, Clos du Marquis, is one of the finest second wines being made in Bordeaux. The quality level of the second wine of Leoville-Las Cases is unquestionably better than some of Bordeaux's famed 1855 classification's second and third growths."
"Clos du Marquis can be an excellent wine. It is less oaky, less extracted than the grand vin, and possibly has more St-Julien typicity!"
葡萄园面积约 45 公顷，葡萄树均龄 30 岁，土壤由第四纪的砾石构成，比 Leoville-Las-Cases 雄狮园的更古老、更细小，园内的表土是腐殖灰壤，下面覆盖着砂砾粘土，含丰富的有机物。
葡萄人手采摘，之后送到酒窖去梗，在可控温条件下进行发酵，发酵的葡萄汁被抽出来然后喷淋酒帽，期间还需要持续浸泡。发酵过程结束后，于 40% 新的橡木桶熟成，之后经过澄清就装瓶。

Clos du Marquis
The name of Clos du Marquis, created in 1902, was inspired by the Petit Clos adjacent to the Château de Léoville, residence of the Marquis de Las Cases. The Clos du Marquis is produced from top terroirs of the Saint-Julien Appellation that were not exclusively part of the old Domaine de Léoville cadastre. These terroirs are located slightly to the west and are surrounded by prestigious Classified Growths, particularly Seconds Crus Classés of Saint-Julien and Pauillac : Léoville Poyferré, Léoville Barton, Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande... The Clos du Marquis offers a fine expression of the Saint-Julien character : structure, complexity, harmony, distinction and ageing potential.
Le Petite Marquis
As new young vines were coming into production on the Clos du Marquis vineyard, and in the aim of preserving its acclaimed quality, a decision was made to create its own second wine. Produced from grapes grown for the vast majority on the superb Clos du Marquis terroirs, La Petite Marquise shows great subtlety and refinement. With its harmonious expression and delicate tannic structure, this wine is elegantly seductive and enchanting. To be enjoyed relatively young due to the dominance of Merlot in the blend.
