Frescobaldi 花思蝶家族起源于1000多年前，作为意大利 Tuscany 托斯卡纳最古老的葡萄酒世家之一，花思蝶家族于1308年开始生产 Tuscany 葡萄酒，接着马上发展了名门望族的客户。“Marchesi de' Frescobaldi”的意思是代表着对古老传统的传承.从15和16世纪开始，花思蝶家族就向英国皇家法庭和多家其他欧洲的皇室机构供应葡萄酒，曾成为罗马教皇和英王亨利八世的御用佳酿。
花思蝶家族在佛罗伦斯地区也算声名显赫，名人如诗人Dino Frescobaldi以及巴洛克音乐作曲家Gerolamo Frescobaldi等都是花思蝶家族的代表人物。旗下拥有多家小酒庄，包括1995与美国加州的 Robert Mondavi Winery 共同开辟了 Montalcino 的一块葡萄园，并于1997年正式推出他们的合作结晶 Luce 麓鹊庄园；2005年购买了大名鼎鼎的 Tenuta dell'Ornellaia 奥纳雅酒庄的全部股份，如今，Tenuta dell'Ornellaia 酒庄在 Frescobaldi 的管理下一直保持着意大利的传统，在全球的葡萄酒市场闪耀着最璀璨的光芒，于2020年被 Gambero Rosso 意大利大红虾指南评为2020年度 Winery of the Year 最佳酒庄。
Castelgiocondo 吉奥康多庄园是 Frescobaldi 花思蝶家族在 Tuscany 托斯卡纳产区的关键布局，本身就是 Brunello 影响力颇大的优秀村庄，亦是该地区最早生产葡萄酒的庄园之一，其招牌酒是出自BDM的Sangiovese。葡萄园海拔处于250-450米的理想区间，西南朝向，日照充沛。随坡度的变化，土壤类型也各有不同，主要享有 Galestro, clay, Pleocene sands, 排水好，易蓄热，昼夜温差大。土壤，日照和海拔成就了孕育优质桑娇维塞最为得天独厚的风土。
葡萄园进行精细化管理，采用高密度的种植方式，并严格控制产量，甄选最好成熟度的 Sangiovese，精心挑选并手工收获，在不锈钢罐中发酵12天，浸渍持续32天。苹果酸乳酸发酵后，将其放入法国橡木桶和斯拉夫尼亚橡木桶中，陈化至少2年，然后瓶陈4个月后才投放市场。
